Saturn version had better mechanics, gameplay, more areas, more weapons, more familliars, and extra fights. PSX had better quality with graphics and audio. Why has no one done a PSX SOTN: Saturn Restoration yet???

Why has no one done a PSX SOTN: Saturn Restoration yet??? it's hard to do that, the most you can do is put all familliars and change sprites my favorite version is the SOTN PSP I would like to see Richter's alternate outfit (Sotn Saturn) on the PSP version, I just have no idea how to do that

This is interesting stuff, regarding a Saturn restoration project or a PSX remaster of SOTN with the Saturn areas and content I would LOVE to see this and have waited so many years to finally get the tools to make this happen but sadly we never got them, its really such as shame, I'm not a programmer so I have no idea how those tool making works but for some reason it appears SOTN for the psx just does not get the tools akin to the like's of what we got for similar games for the gba and NDS with the main and most comprehensive being DSvania tool, if we had a similar tool for SOTN the hacking potential would be endless and the only guy who has even come close to this level of editing was Esco and he hasn't been in the sharing mood when it comes to his methods, tools, demos of his work.

Already did it myself. PSP3000, Pro-C Custom Firmware, Flashes Firmware to memory with NO chance of bricking. I play all hacks on my psp now, aside from DS. Sadly there are no decent DS emulators for PSP.

Sadly there are no decent DS emulators for PSP. PSP SOTN have playable Maria & dual audio, this alone tops PSP ver over PSX version. Also I already made it possible for Richter to have 2 costumes (RoB + SOTN) & you can switch between them. So unless you play with some hacks based PSX emulator (Esco did his SOTN hacks with using of emulator years ago, when he worked on official game editing), there is no reason to select PSX game over proper portable with more content. If we had couple of tools, much more would be possible. Saturn outfit of Richter is unique, pity game lacks proper art of it.

That is all true. The PSP port is the better of the 2, unless you are looking to play the game with the original voices.

That is all true. The PSP port is the better of the 2, unless you are looking to play the game with the original voices. Original? Native voice is Japanese, which is availible on PSP or PSX JP voices have some key difference? Or you mean old eng dub? That you can mod on psp, if you really want yo have it. Only thing I donno how to edit is text. Voices & music both fully editable on PSP SOTN. Read info from this thread castlevaniamodding.boards.net/thread/212/sotn-psx-dub-restoration

Sorry. yeah I know all games originally in Jap then translated. I am from US. But yeah I meant the old cheesy PSX English ones. They were the first or "original" voices that I heard.
