Hi everyone, hello and thanks for the invitation, I apologize for my writing because I use a language translator, some time ago I made a small project in the OpenBOR engine to try to recreate the mythical LOI of ps2 in a 2D adventure, the result was this demo . I already have an update (use sub-weapons, special moves use now mp etc.) thanks for the interest and comments on my fangames, now I present a version 2.0 of Castlevania Lament Of Innocence 2D. With many changes and small additions:

This looks fantastic!
Thanks for joining up and sharing your work with us, I look forward to seeing more of this since its such a interesting concept and as you may have guessed from the forum background I'm a HUGE Lament of Innocence and Leon Belmont fan lol, will this have symphony rpg level up elements as well?
As much as I loved LOI I've always felt it should have had more metroidvania elements such as leveling up and weapon collecting with the whips still be the superior choice kinda like what Portrait of Ruin did.
Hello everyone thanks to you for your interest in the game, the truth is that I am not an expert in BOR I did what I could with what I had and left the game hehehe, however there are some limitations with the engine as it is more a beat em up a rpg, unfortunately we can not press the star button and open the menu to equip objects or something like that.
but it is possible to improvise something like an item appears and when the player touches it, they immediately change their attributes (increase the defense, increase the attack and I plan to do something like that with the original game items fo example, relics, armors, whips etc)
I have uploaded the full gameplay and will soon put an advance with sub-weapons. It's all I have for now. Thank you again for your comments, greetings.
Hello friends, unfortunately in recent days another user of youtube uploaded (Oyun iliani) my game to his blog as his own, for that reason I decided not to publish more public updates, all will be exclusive of this site.
I'm sorry to hear somebody else decided to steal and reupload your hard work. Still, this is amazing, and I'm glad you haven't allowed it to deter you from continuing to make progress on this. Keep up the incredible work.
shind3rd: Thank you for the greet.

alternativel: hey just thought I'd ask here, is there any way to replace sprites in Rondo of Blood (TurboGrafx version, more precisely a .Bin .Cue version)? I just thought it would be cool using the custom Ritcher sprite from Serio and his team

TheLV: Yes, it is possible, if you wanna deal with segmented 16x16/16x32 sprites then go on, but I don't know how or if it is possible change the colors of X sprite, anyways, here's the proof

kanashimi: Hey, everybody, I'm new to the hacking scene. I was wondering how to start making custom levels for Castlevania NES.

TheLV: Welcome kanashimi ! Besides the ol'reliable hex editor, you can use some utilities from RHDN like Stake by Dan for the OG Castlevania 1 or reVamp by +daniel+ for Cv3/AD, for further assistance, create a thread in the NES section, characters limit reached.
