Im trying to do some 8bit characters, its really hard to me since use 3 colors is hard as hell (at least for me) anyway here is some ideas i have in mind If i make a spritsheet i will share here in the 1st post.

Amazing! Once the sprite sheets are completed, We could make any number of NES hacks with them. Personally, Simons quest fits the best for me, as you can explore, find gear, upgrade, and level up. It would be really nice to make a co-op Simon's quest that plays kinda like the original PC Homebrew "Dracula's Shadow" where you can switch between characters like in Dracula's Curse, but with a layout like Simon's Quest (i.e. Leveling, Upgrading, and Exploration). But that kind of programming is well beyond the scope of my hacking abilities.

The others can be modify to fit too is someone want them but like Simon i need to know how the sprite is in the game. In case no one notice thats Simon from MoF (yeah im fan of that Simon and that Trevor too)

All you would have to do is make the background transparent, which is easily done in that program. But we would still need all of the other animation frames for each one.

This is what im talking The idle and whip it share the same legs or are similar? when you search in pages where it show the sprite sheet, but that legs is another in the game or they share the same sprite? how they handle that? the arms works like this or they are used in other animation? thats something im not sure if is like that, if i dont know that i can make errors that make the sprite dont fit in the game. That was a problem i have when i worked in CotM that almost kill me but it was a lot of sprites, in this case is so low that makes me happy but still i need to know how fragmented the sprite is and if i can make something with that or not. The only sprites im sure they dont share anything is the die and watch the castle in the intro, that are not used in anything more.

Except when in air, are Jump legs the same with Jump Whip Legs?

Pay attention to the arms and legs positions, which one is on the front (bright) and which one in the back (dark), sadly, CV1/2 lacks this details, so I've put Trevor's sprite as reference, your Idle/1st frame is reversed, it should be the last frame. Legs should be 1 pixel above the "ground" (you did it right). Arms/hands must NOT be drawn in the lower 8x16/legs section (sprites are aligned to the grid in the attached image). Sprite sharing (CV1 & 2) Idle and whip anim share legs. Whip anim (upper body) shared across crouch and stairs. Taking damage and going down stairs share legs. Dead (landing): crouch legs. Crouch share upper body part from idle frame. Stairs up/down share upper body parts from walk cycle. There are more but they are irrelevant.

Well someone manage to make the hack and yeah i like it, now i want to make a hack and change all the sprites to looks like a LoS MoF game :v

Well for now Simon and Alucard That face for Alucard reminds me to Sephirot, was my best face :´3 If someone wants to use it go ahead, later im going to update the 1st post with this news when i have something for Hector, someone in deviant want that i make Alucard swing a sword, i will do that too. About use Castlevania 3 for make a hack i pass, im trying to learn with Castlevania 1 because i think is more easy, it dosnt have too much things but still i test it and get confused so easy so that, imagine if i try castlevania 3 XD

I make poo face now. But you are right I can imagine how complicated it would be. What about multiple versions of Simon's Quest? So we could level up and buy gear? I mean, your Deviant Art page is AWESOME. It shouldn't be as hard as CV3 right? There are already so many hacks of CV1 as it is. Of course if you were to have someone change some of the dynamics, like Chorus of Mysteries Hack, or Blood Moon, that would be cool.
