Hey guys.
I'm starting to work on a mod for SOTN ..
I already have the offsets of all weapons, items, relics and monsters and bosses.
I would like tips for balancing the game and improving the gameplay ..
Opinions are welcome!

Hey guys. I'm starting to work on a mod for SOTN .. I already have the offsets of all weapons, items, relics and monsters and bosses. I would like tips for balancing the game and improving the gameplay .. Opinions are welcome! All enemies should have much higher HP, so it would be possible to torture them more with stronger weapons also higher ATK. Forms of bat, wolf & mist could be obtained much earlier to give player freedom of exploring castle in own way. Richter & Maria bosses could have triple HP & double attack power to make them much more dangerous. Maria boss should fully heal when use her item crash, Richter boss fully heal when using his power up, so both battles will be longer. Also maybe green orb (Shaft) during Richter battle will appear (be vulnerable) ONLY after Richter use power up (or in case player goes to save him, Richter would start with power up activated). Beelzebub should definetely have higher HP (like triple) & no holy weakness. Make AlucarT sword to appear from the start of the game, after you get AlucarD equipment stolen, so it can be useful. Add various status effects (poison, turn to stone, heal with attacks etc) to various weapons (terminus is never enough). Do something with poor Akmodan, because he is completely useless...add hp, maybe give him anti-stagger, longer range of his attacks etc. Make enemies drop items like neutron bomb often, so it will be fun to use them & not just waste money or use them once per game. Add Slorga & Gaibon BOTH to the boss battle with Death, so they will be crazy 3 bosses team. Relocate some crucially important items/relics to reversed castle entrance, so player will need to go there, maybe add some boss in that location. Add shield rod effect (magic) to AlucarD sword, so his main weapon will feel most important. Add various status proofs (stone, poison, elements) to various armors. Upgrade prologue Dracula (HP, attack power), also would be cool to make more reward for beatin him no damage (like Alu starts with HP x2 or some really cool items, like healing armor etc). Make axe knights to drop axelord armor. Give hunters trio holy immunity. Change equipment of fake Alucard in second battle to AlucarD sword, cross sub-weapon & poison mist or even crissaegrim. Make succubus heal herself with her attacks. Add various status effects (poison, stone etc) to various bosses's attacks, so they will require proper equip set from the player.

OK, let's go. editing mobs will be very easy, i can add: elements, HP, ATK, DEF etc I will replace the alucart swort with a different sword created by mine the same goes for A. shield and A. armor. I will redistribute all items and relics to give the player a new experience! soon I will post news.

OK, let's go. editing mobs will be very easy, i can add: elements, HP, ATK, DEF etc I will replace the alucart swort with a different sword created by mine the same goes for A. shield and A. armor. If you can make custom swords, you can make ultimate variant for every weapon & place it in reverse castle

Interesting. Then can you add AlucarD's sword special teleport attack skill to AlucarT sword? So fake one will be in first castle & real one in second.
