I always liked Max & honestly played HoD only because of him, but unfortunetly, playable version was pretty BAD. Not only he missing many skills boss version have, but to make it worse, he have different & less quality sprite! So I imported him (boss version of course) & Juste into AoS. Currently I made char portraits & NPC sprites, but story is not made yet (need some help with it), beside it, mod is playable (many short swords work) & disc armour soul transformed into Max`s iconic shuriken, also check transformation souls! mega.nz/file/FYoBiKCJ#-dzwO_cdFdfwlHUq3aIr6AHgRCULlTMnqlFCmR0WJN8

Or crash happen during some exact moment? solved I took the file SAVERAM and renamed it to .SAV and run the game in VBA, it worked here the problem was with the emulator

Still needs some sprite work. Certain swords in the game are longer and Maxim's "knife" should be extended to reflect this. Also try to make the great swords swing without changing the sprite from Maxim to a glitchy Soma. Portraits need to reflect the character who is talking, and names as well. This is more of a WIP. Everything else about this hack is amazing. I combined it with caminopreacher's "Julius Story Mode 1.4 Hack" and was able to play through AOS with a Juste Belmont who could level up and collect gear!!! AWESOME!!!!!

But then again Sappy is there & can do simple swaps. Tiles - not sure, not really interested. Sprites - limited edition possible. You cannot edit Maxim with DS vania for example. YYchr is best thing for GBA sprite editing. Also you can try tile molester. Circle of The Moon is not supported by DS vania at all.

I wish it to stay that way. If there would be more frames place to import I would add multi stab anim, but oh well.

Also Soma's huge sword have halfmoon hibox, while Max's attacks have straight forward hitbox. Need custom anim similar to what Donoffrio did with his custom Max for Serio's game.
