C'mon TheLV , help make this game possible, pretty please ===)
It's not that hard but time consuming, you need to identify which parts belong to an specific frame of animation, then, break down the sprite to import (in this case, Leon), make sure of don't overlap 8x8 sections (like the purple one). -
A quick update on this. I have started trying again to port Leon over Juste. These frames are a bit cleaner than last time. Here are some examples: I left the blue outline on purpose to see if the NoGlo patch will remove it for me after importing is complete in game. There are 16 exported frames. 5 of them are done. Stopping for now. Fam wants to game.
My heart stop beating at every update. It's FUCKING AWESOME those sprites =D If I die it's your fault xD Can't wait to see in the game. Thanks again StarWyvern, every Lament of Innocence fan will go nuts with this!
I like leon better than the actual game its self and I always thought they could have done more with it like they did with curse of darkness now it would be cool to see leon in curse of darkness in place of trevor (Ralph Belmondo) Belmont
My Castlevania Ninja hack is on the move again thank you to everyone who is helping me with this hack it's really appreciated
xavierbelmont I love almost every Castlevania game that was released. I always enjoyed Action games with a good balanced fight system, like Ninja Gaiden Reboot and Devil May Cry series. I think that's why I love so much Lament of Innocence (my favourite in the pack, followed behind by Symphony of the Night Saturn edition).
I like a lot Curse of Darkness (Specially the soundtrack!), it's like a Symphony of the night in 3D with more content. I think that's why I like more Lament of Innocence. It's one of the few Castlevania games that is truly original in its own right, like an original game.
Most Castlevania games try to copy the old NES ones or Symphony of the night. The battle in Lament of Innocence is more balanced, the combo system is more strategic, with each enemy having different ways to kill. Curse of Darknes have a lot of weapons, but an unbalanced fight system. The combos on Curse of Darkness are more for the variety of movement to watch then for strategy against enemies. And even so it's repetitive as hell.
But I agree with you, Lament of Innocence really needs an expansion. Specially on Bosses and items. So few Items in that game. = ( And the Luck system is the worst in my opinion. Some enemies took ages to drop their second items.
Oh, and of course, Leon have, in my humble opinion, the best clothe in the series, followed by Shanoa = )
Just an update to say that I am still working on this with what little time I have on here. Having a little trouble with the slide animation frame. But here is what some of the progress looks like. VV Try not to have a coronary. lol.
