I wanted to add here that I am helping with this as well. It will take me some time to get the music in, but I will get it in! Also I will be swapping some sprites with the help of any who can help me find said sprites like Repaletted Ralph Belmont in Trevor's colors, Repaletted Netflix NES Alucard, Kaede from Shadow of the Ninja, along with some others. Hacking is in progress. Be patient we all have multiple projects. Thanks Guys.

I hadn't until now. But those would be perfect. Anyway you can put the NES one into AOS for us, and the Crossover one into DOS?

If native size of sprites work, its pretty easy for AoS. As for DoS? What's crossover one you mean? There are some better quality sprites? These nes ones will not look any good in DoS I think.

The super mario crossover sprites of kaede don't look too bad actually. If you pull the ones of her using the grapple you could even swap her with Julius.

Hey. How do I get the sprites from the sheet into the game? I tried to open the sheet in Paint.net so that I could cut and paste the sprites into correct position over the old ones. But I could not get the background to fill transparency. It views the whole image as one layer. Trying to remove bg color just removes entire image... And sprites don't show up in YYCHR.

First prepare sprites for insertion. 16 colour palette (image itself better be 256 format though), first colour in image is the one, that gotta be transparent. If you have transparent colour as any other, you have to change it. After that copy each frame separatedly & insert with YY char. I use irfanview, beside YYchr. It should work in such way, that you copy frame with image editor & YYchr would agree to paste it.

They look fine in game, but in sprite editor the are like cut in half. Is there any way to quick align sprites for insertion to DSVania. Like if I wanted to put Hayate over Julius, and Kaede over Mina, they are two different sprite sets in DSV. Each one is formatted differently, not just because it is a different character, but because there are more or less of each sprite. So if I made a sprite sheet with Hayate in paint.net with exactly the same amount as Julius with a transparent background, It still would not port properly, because the sprites would not be in the same position as Julius in the DSV sprite sheet. Same with any of them really. I only ask because using paint.net to improve some of the sprites was way easier. Like taking out the painful out of place Soma sprites from Ryu's sprite set. It was easy to pull up a similar sprite page of Ryu, copy it, and paste it over Soma. Of course this is also how I misaligned the spear in the blooper pic. lol. Putting together a sprite page in paint.net is super easy, but they would still need to be aligned. Whenever I try to pull them up in YYCHR the are always a garbled mess.

There are no auto assemblers, cut sprite you gonna insert same way.

So to get the Hayate sprites to fit over the Julius ones, they have to be cut off in the same places then. I will remember that. That might be a little difficult for me.

Better just insert sprites as parts in case, like J in AoS. You said YYchr did not worked, was this palette issue? YYchr cannot edit palette, you have to use APE to edit palette.

When I open Ninja Gaiden Trilogy in YYCHR. There are no sprites anywhere. Just Title screen and options menu stuff. And when pull up AOS in YYCHR, J sprite is all over the place, and Soma sprite not aligned properly (upper half right and lower half left). Is much easier to export sprites from DSVania, as they are already in position needed to properly display in game. Once sprites exported, open old sprites and new sprites in paint.net, remove color from background, copy new sprite, paste over old sprite in same position. By the way what Ryu sprite sheet did you use? I was trying to improve a couple of animations, like greatsword and spear, and change jump kick to spin slash, but all the sprites I found don't match.

There are functions in YY chr to change view of sprite (try its face buttons, + - etc). DS vania unable to do many things, be it portrait edit or specific character support (Maxim for example). YY chr works for that. I used nes Hayabusa sprite.
