Could you make a Castlevania with Sram hack? To eliminate passwords? I have a patch that puts level select where password is. Would that work for you?

Thanks for the kind answer, this is good too, could we make two hacks then? Since you are Mix Hack Master xD with both patches, or separated to different players and tastes, one with Sram save, where out of the game when reset or power on back to latest place, and with level select, what you think? could be this possible? Thank you again for hacking CV in SNES. Second Point [or a wish too] My dream is see Richter Running [like SoTN] in Castlevania Vampire Kiss aka Dracula XX in SNES. That Ritcher sucks, seems too heavy and horrible playability.

But sadly, I lack the skills to do what you are asking for. Bogaabogaa is the name of the guy on here, or Romhacking.net with same name, that you want to ask about SCV4. He is vastly more skilled with hacking in that game. I just mixed a few patches. For SNES CVDX, I know a couple of spriters on here, but none of them have ever even touched DX for hacking purposes. Though if I could make Richter more like the SOTN version, I would. Making an SRAM for SCV4 seems like a very cool idea. But I would not even know where to begin... For now, all i can do is give you the game with level select added. SCV4 Ultra with Level Select

Not only you have to add sprites (though the game probably have some space for those), you have to make game use them & either delete walk or add additional controls. As an alternative you could make speed modifier with RAM/hex editing & replace walk sprites with run ones. So seek someone with good knowledge about CV4's data, what you wanted is pretty advanced stuff.

Could you make a Castlevania with Sram hack? To eliminate passwords? There is a SRAM patch but it is used to make savestates for the game on a SD2SNES or equivalent hardware. The patches are not been uploaded to RHDN but are posted on a Speedrun Discord. Here are the practice ROM patches. hacks.speedga.me/cv4.html
