Hi, have a question to ask, Will this mod replace the old axe armor mode with a playable Alucard since he is in the story or is he being replaced by simon? It's still Old Axe Armor but with lot of alterations.

Youll need to consider alot of thing too if youll be replacing richter with a alucard like the sub weapons that boss richter uses etc. I think doppleganger richter would do okay. Its like hes battling his former self to streagthen the whip or something. Or maybe regaining his lost powers. Idk Alucard sub weapons would not be the same as ritcher's yep, exactly my point.

Or, he could use Juste Belmont! Sprite work was already done for him for Dawn of Dissonance. That could be another possibility, hmm...

Alucard sub weapons would not be the same as ritcher's yep, exactly my point. Well alucard would not be able to use Richter subweapons within reason he would need his own animations to use richter's sub weapons and the only sub weapons I could think of him using would be the ones he uses against you in Castlevania symphony of the night when Alucard is fighting his doppelganger and that the only ones that he would be using against you would be the ones that alucard's doppelganger uses as you would actually be fighting alucard's doppelganger instead of Alucard himself. And he too had certain powers of Alucard that he could use.

Idk Alucard sub weapons would not be the same as ritcher's They share many of those though. Alu also uses knives, holy water, axe & many others. Some of them just variations. If you played recently made CV Fighter from Serio, characters even got various versions for their sub weapons depending on which buttons you are using. Alu have basic throwing animation which is suitable for most of hunters sub weapons. Grand Cross Alu also can use in SOTN, just without flying around with I-frames.

Outside of gibberish like Duke Nukem or Ronald, it's much more Castlevania than any fan project out there filled with completely random stuff. Also fake Alucard using sub weapons just as player one, simply not each & every. So again, Alucard can use what Richter have, at least technically. He have animation for it. Weapon variations is another topic.

But Duke nukem and other characters like that being in the game I think is stupid as well as them putting story mode on their game menu when they're hasn't been one unless they've just recently put it on there which if they haven't made one yet they should just take that off for now until they actually write one up and actually make it. Not to mention I kind of feel like Esco's Castlevania symphony of the night is going to be the best fan game out there once it comes out. Because he's still working on it and it's still going and what's cool is you could play all three of the original characters I think it's nice that he is including Maria. What would be cool if he gave them their Japanese looks from Castlevania symphony of the night

Esco's project is a little different tho. It uses own sprite work now. While CV Fighter staff uses official content edited & updated.

Do you have a favorite CV fighters character and if I remember correctly some of the Castlevania fighter characters are actually fan made as well there are some of the characters though that are from the actual games though

For example Richter have diagonal strikes. My top 3 CV characters are Hugh, Albus & Maxim. All of them are in CV fighter & play superbly, way better than in official games. Hugh was playable there for the first time, Albus have all of his skills & Maxim have an access to both moves at the same time, from boss & player versions. I also like to play as bosses, especially Evil Soma, Dracula or Brauner.

Great mod man! I'm a bit stuck though. When I try using Richter's tackle, I get his spin kick instead. I need to use the tackle to get an item in the desert. Which reminds me, the top left corner of that map seems a bit buggy. It's a small square room but the top left of that room is inaccessible. I can't seem to get to the top left, but doesn't matter all that much because it's not needed for the map completion.

Which desert map are you talking about? There are two; Sandy Grave, and Forgotten City. I don't think I had any trouble accessing every area of those maps, some areas require you to come back to them later after you get the items you need to give you access to those rooms.

I don't think I had any trouble accessing every area of those maps, some areas require you to come back to them later after you get the items you need to give you access to those rooms. It's the first desert map you encounter, Sandy Grave. I have since beaten the game and it has been a great hack, but I did notice some other weird things that caused a lot of confusion for me. When learning the martial arts quest, Alucard gives you an input for you to do the roundhouse kick. For a while, I thought the game was bugged because Richter actually does the Tackle move instead of the Spinning Kick. When you are learning the Tackle later on in the game, Richter does the opposite - he does the spin kick instead of the Tackle in the completion animation. The second time around isn't as bad, but the first time around it had me confused for a while. If I didn't already know the Tackle's input, I wouldn't have known otherwise. But for players that may not be as aware, this can have them stumped for a long time.
