Hello again everyone. I had an idea similar to what I did for Harmony of Dissonance. I was wondering if someone could find a way to combine three modes of COTM together, Fighter, Shooter, and Thief modes, and start the player with the best armor and accessories. If you played this way from the beginning on a mod like the Card Finder Hack, it would really give this game a New Game Plus feel. And with a patch, it could be incorporated into any of the different character hacks as well. Let me know if you guys have any ideas on it, or if anyone wants to make it happen. I personally don't have any experience hacking COTM. With no DSVania support, I wouldn't even know where to begin.

This is actually quite nice. I found it annoying that you needed some boots to run. But in my opinion, the hack where the cards are hidden inside the castle and not drops are quite nice still.

Wouldn't it be easier to just always make him run when he gets the boots? Because hard and soft presses doesn't sound feasible on a GBA

I agree!! It always astonishes me whenever i see videos of either richter and the dude from cotm doing moves smoothly since runnin and back flipping was soo hard to pull off in game that goes as planned. So in my opinion either make him run from the start and save that boots item for another effect/ablity or have it toggled right?

Actually yeah that could work quite well. Except I still enjoy finding the DSS cards periodically. I have to agree with him though, homing knife is a must for this "Master Mode". Actually with base stats being that of the end of the game, it still leaves the incentive of finding better gear as well. It would be great.

Maybe have two patches for Master Mode, one that starts you with the cards and one without?

I tried a bit in past to combine luck mode with normal mode stats (memory hacking only) , but after a level up , regardless of what was changed ,the game just follow the Stats table designed for the gamemode. didn't dig deeper than that ... If we had a way to permanently change locate and change those stat tables , that would on achieving this master mode hack .
To compensate, I believe some monsters could have been buffed up , so it would add more challenge ( speed/ attributes /exp doubled for example)
Getting this with playing as Nathan's Master it would be really nice.

We have a Morris Baldwin Hack, so combining it with this patch once figured out and completed should be a breeze. (Fingers Crossed)
