I always liked how in the GBA games and SOTN; you could play the game how you wanted to, so it was a shame to me to find out in the DS games, you need to do everything in order to get to the final boss. Especially in DOS, Julius mode could definitely been better. The main issue being that Julius is that he lost his high jump from AOS. The only character that can fully navigate the map is Alucard, since he's the only one who can fly and high jump. So now instead of playing as a more unique character, you're stuck playing as a character that's just a worse version of Soma (I'm sorry in advance). I want Julius mode to have more emphasis on Julius himself. There are two main changes I'd want to make. 1. Make Julius's uppercut more live the AOS uppercut, and 2. Have the Mine of Judgment open from the beginning. I feel these changes would greatly improve the experience of Julius mode, and have great speed running potential. There are also some other improvements that would be great to see in Julius mode (omnia Vanitas, multi directional whipping, whip swinging) since all the sprites necessary are in HOD. I feel all of these would overall improve the experience of Julius mode and make DOS a better game, and would greatly appreciate if anyone could make this happen. Can't agree more! Me to, was kinda not glad about J in DoS got crazily nerfed & not feel as greatest Belmont anymore. I not sure about multiside whip attacks, but his dash-teleport thing may be sorta remade, superjump may work too, but J need to be put into main mode. This way he can also get new skills & story. Also I have a test video of J vs Menace.
Games that do not give me desired characters playable, or that have single playable character are not worth my time.

alternativel: hey just thought I'd ask here, is there any way to replace sprites in Rondo of Blood (TurboGrafx version, more precisely a .Bin .Cue version)? I just thought it would be cool using the custom Ritcher sprite from Serio and his team

TheLV: Yes, it is possible, if you wanna deal with segmented 16x16/16x32 sprites then go on, but I don't know how or if it is possible change the colors of X sprite, anyways, here's the proof

TheLV: Welcome kanashimi ! Besides the ol'reliable hex editor, you can use some utilities from RHDN like Stake by Dan for the OG Castlevania 1 or reVamp by +daniel+ for Cv3/AD, for further assistance, create a thread in the NES section, characters limit reached.
