For those who do not know the Hugh Baldwin hack was my first full hack that I worked on, as such there where many things that I feel the need to touchup to make it better. One major aspect is the fact that at the time I only had the ingame Hugh Sprites to work with as such certain sprites such as the super jump, whip swing, sliding kick all had to be edited and adjusted accordingly but with a new sprite sheet I got from Jop I can now start to give the hack some real touchups. Something that may have been glaringly weird is the whip swing attack in particular which has Hugh's sprites glitching which is a eyesore, with this new update that whip swing with be much more fluid and put together since now he will have a glowing sword the emits a torrent of fire around it to kill enemies instead,

Yo, is there any chance Hugh will ever have his idle(sword) stance when idle? Sadly no since COTM has VERY constrained sprite limits and the sword itself is just cut off, I know this because I tried and it did not work.

UPDATEOk just a heads up to to fans of this hack I'm nearing completion for it, for those who do not know the Hugh Baldwin hack was actually my first full hack and as such it has always needed some work due to my inexperience at the time with hacking which is why you would have obviously noticed things like sprite clipping through the floor, weird sprite placements, as well as general animation problems, this was in part due to me not having a proper sprite sheet to work with and instead having to use the existing Hugh one to somehow fit into Nathan's much bigger sprite sheet that contained way more animations that Hugh's, thanks to Jop/Drameloch I now have a better sprite sheet to work with and also thanks to the many hacks I released after this one now I have more experience in correcting my mistakes which is something you will see once the less janky version of this hack is released lol. Now onto something new I added, decided to use Hugh's original portrait for the final update since I felt it made more sense and fit better with the ingame art style, I liked the fanmade version but after some thought I regret that I used it since it can be offputting considering how different it is from Hugh's actual ingame face portrait, here in a comparison of the two with the "old" one being on top and the "new" one being on the bottom, In my opinion the new one is MUCH better and fits more with the game aesthetic, I also changed the palette for the pause menu to further differentiate from Nathan's, with some luck I will have this out be mid to late March, if possible I will also release my Kid Dracula hack at the same time if all goes according to plan thus making it a double hack release.

I remember this was one of the 1st project i join to make a hack, penmburu suffer a lot since he all the time need to say to me that i was making error here and there, i didnt know you have a size and cant work more of that, in the end he wasnt able to finish his project and let all my work there, he didnt wanted that i share the sprites since i think he think some people will grab and use it, i was ok since i really wanted someone that i know to make this hack and no some random guy, in the end i think i lost all the sprite sheet i make for Hugh, thanks god after i lost the interest i send to you all the sprites i make so there wasnt any harm, if someone wants the sprite sheet of Hugh he have to just rip this hack, its not too hard but well at least earn that sprites :v
By the way i think i lost it but perhaps i have it in one of that old folders, hiding, waiting that when i found it i upload to my deviant, still im going to wait that this hack is finish and give it like 4 or 6 months to release my work :3

Niiiiice... I will definitely be replacing the old version with this one. I'm actually in the middle of a run of this on my psp. (I have Gpsp) By the way, is there anything that can be done about the obnoxious knockback??? I know you know what I MEAN... lol.
