So, this is a bit of a continuation of my intoduction thread, but since it's more specific to PSP, I decided to move it here. I found a guide for editing sprites, so you gotta savestate and have the emulator save the image and you get a bunch of images out of it; From that understanding comes a bit of a problem. I want to edit Richter's SOTN sprites, but when I savestate, not every Richter frame is there. If I understand this correctly, I'd have to have Richter perform every action possible in order to get all the sprites necessary to make any changes to him. I feel I'm overthinking this, surely there's an easier way to get Richter's sprites out of the PSP? It seems a bit weird that it'd be easier to get the 2.5d models out of the game rather than the 16 bit sprites... I'm gonna be working in either Portrait of Ruin or CV Fighter for now, but maybe I'll go back to PSP if there's an easier way to get these sprites outta there.

If you mean DXC remake, you can get textures with PPSSPP, it's a different thing from sprites, despite function works similar. 3D models from the game can be extracted & imported back with tools for GMO format (I have couple example of model editing for DXC in WIP section of the site, such as playing as Succubus or Axe Knight in DXC). For sprites, yes, you have to make all actions of Richter to get them with PPSSPP.

Combining that with SOTN Remix would make a hell of a big mod you know.

I can hex edit animations, but to make her more or less playable I need a way to add new ones. With hex editing alone it's not gonna happen...
