Anyone started watching it yet? I have yet to get around to it. Can I expect a better season than 3 this time?

Anyone started watching it yet? I have yet to get around to it. Can I expect a better season than 3 this time? Finished watching yesterday. It's mediocre at best. Hector is as useless as he was, not even havin good sex anymore. Baldie necromancer is nice story wise, but it's Netflix's character & his design is garbage. Carmila fights like a warrior, but dies like an idiot. Lenore forgot "how to vampire" & now is typical disgusting damsel in distress. Alucard continues to be sad lonely kid. Belmont & Sypha basically the same - not bad, but not good either, just doin their "function". There is new "final boss" in the end, like it was in LoI. Germain? No idea why they even added him, because that's just random guy for Netflix. What's left? Dracula & Lisa will appear in the ending, but you better see this with your own eyes, that is huge LOL

Anyone started watching it yet? I have yet to get around to it. Can I expect a better season than 3 this time? It's better then season 3. Season 3 was pointless, season 4 makes it even more pointless if that's possible. A lot of filler, writing ranges from ok to god awful, fights are to long, more characters added with no real purpose, plot setups from S3 are pretty much abandoned, I could go on but I want to finish on a high. Animation is great, Alucard's story actually has a point, Hector while still Hector in name only is much better then he was in S3, like IamMe said Trevor and Sypha are much the same, while some of the fights are to long there are some very good ones, lot's of fan service (references), no stupid sex scenes, episode 1 is really good.

I binged it, loved it besides a few hangups such as what they did to Saint Germain and how Hector never finally got his badassery that he had in the games.

Thanks guys. Sounds good. I will have to Binge it after Fam and I get done with Asteriks War. I have two friends, one is a super fan of Castlevania and the other doesn't know anything about it, I made them both watch the Netflix series and I was surprised by the result, the Castle fan said that the adaptation could have been much better and less dragged or at least more like games, to tell you the truth, it's like asking him if he likes the Netflix CV he will say he likes it, but making a very ugly face, the other one who doesn't know anything, said it is a fantastic series! and the only thing he didn’t like was the series being kind of dragged along too, like things finally happened only in the last two episodes as it was in the previous two seasons, I re-watched the series in order to have two different points of view, as a fan CV and not a CV fan, and the difference is immense, at least for me. So in my opinion, whoever is looking for a totally faithful adaptation to the games and want everything right will be disappointed, whoever sees it just like a Netflix series that was inspired by a video game will like it a lot, so it depends on which side you want to be. I'm at least happy that the looks are cool, imagine if it was a short black hair alucard with a 45 year old face like the real CV3?

Binge Watched the entire season in one evening. Better than season 3 to be sure but not as good as the first 2 seasons IMO. Cool ending, aside from Drac and Lisa. I am not sure how to feel about their scene. Does this mean the series is over? or if not, which way will they go with Lisa being alive again? Story is still open there for the power trio, as the next Belmont/Belnades heir will soon be there. And yes Iamme, He was freaking huuuuge! Just as he was in Curse of Darkness. His lines were hilarious.

For me it was a mixed bag. Had good parts, * Death fight scene, * Alucard shield and rapier/double jump skills * Isaac evolving as character, to the point of forgiving Hector (and its iteractions with the monsters) * the trio seems to be nerfed /tired to the point of receiving some hits of the normal monsters (which is good , because I want them to struggle a bit), * Peasants winning over vampires by day-attacking (they did grow tired of being targetted every night), until striga cames into play * Striga day Armor really awesome! * Cross subweapon really nice * Explanation about what is Death . There's no way a 'Concept' like Death would be under Dracula . Making it an Spiritual Creature would make so much more sense * plot a bit similar with Curse of Darkness (Saint Germain being fooled by death , death disguised, infinity corridor ), but I was fully expecting to either see Dulahan or Nuculais boss (before Death revealing itself) * Gergoth Boss!
As for bad parts, it would be : * Carmilla plot got pointless and wasted (given the amount of time invested at plot building S3) * Ending rushed (I believe due to the cancelling issues) * Trevor being saved at Death fight feels like an asspull , because Saint Germain was struggling to control Infinite Corridor and sudenly being able to do it ) * Saint Germain as corruptible, weak-ass man * Hector still lame ( although he did something good at this time) * No Nuculais / Dullahan at Summoning Dracula /Lisa (was like a lost opportunity) * Dagger used for Killing death. Why it did had enough power to kill Death, while he vampire killer was doing nothing ? I know it was designed to kill gods, but why it was able to do it ? Alchemy? Magic? * Dracula ending with Lisa was a non-explained plot-hole . How did they were able to get bodies after rubeous being destroyed ? Also Lisa not knowing what Dracula did after her death and even hurt their son (that could excusable though , because in theory people in hell dont know the present and future ,only the past. Also Dracula might not told her about it)

Am I the only one who was sad that Lenore killed herself? She was my favorite vampire character!

For sure Lenore was less evil than the sisters and other vampires, but still it was manipulative and deceitful. It would be good if the scene at S3 was genuine instead of a ploy to trick Hector into the sisters binding (f* that ring...) . It would be a good chance to her character to evolve , like choosing between sisters and Hector...
Also its ironic that she treated Hector as pet, but refused to be the same under Isaac rule... Existential dread settled in and she preferred the Sunlight. She could still be useful on herself, with her Diplomatic skills

But I always thought in the end Lenore and Hector loved each other. The way she looks at him before he dies, she wanted Hector to be the last thing she saw before she died. In the end, Hector and Lenore is still a better love story than Twilight! lol!

I am surprised they didn't continue a love story between them, considering the reversed roles of Drac and Lisa.

Am I the only one who was sad that Lenore killed herself? She was my favorite vampire character! I personally do not care, simply due to the fact that Lenore is a Netflix character, not Castlevania one.

I still wanted to see Enraged Hector in action, but the show inverted that role for Isaac. Although I don't like changes over original content, I feel that the in-game Isaac was pretty lame. I think its one of the few times that I liked an adaptation that almost completely changes the character (the only thing similar was the revenge for Dracula Death)
If they had more seasons , they could make Lenore as Rosalia and let her killed by Isaac (either directly or indirectly) , which would set plot point for the Curse of Darkness
