If I may ask a possibly dumb question here, is it all possible for someone to make a port of the Dracula X Chronicles onto the 3DS? I believe the new 3DS and 2DS XL both have more powerful hardware on them than the PSP, such a shame this great game was never ported over to those consoles! I'm wondering if at least in theory a port of the game to the 3DS and 2DS might be possible?

In theory the 3ds could run Dracula X Chronicles if it was ported and also in theory fans could make said port for hacked 3ds. The likelihood of this happening however is slim to none imo. That said a hacked new 3ds can emulate pc engine fine and there is a fan English patch for Rondo.

I do have a PC Engine emulator running the Japanese version of Rondo of Blood for my DS. But I also did really enjoy the Dracula X Chronicles for the PSP. When I got to play it I thought it was a very good and designed game, plus you can't go wrong with the fact it included digital copies of the original Rondo plus Symphony of the Night! I always thought it was a shame the game never received a 3DS port, especially since I never owned a PSP. Just thinking about what could have been!

Nowadays, you have other of options to play the game however - PC, phone or PSvita.

If you're referring to an R4 card, I got one of those, and believe me it's really amazing! Now, I also have Dracula X for the virtual console too. It's a great game, but it's not the same as Rondo of Blood. One thing I loved about the Dracula X Chronicles for the PSP was it was a 2.5D remake of Rondo, PLUS it had digital copies of Rondo and Symphony of the Night! A great game if you ask me, I just thought it was a shame it never got ported to the 3DS.

I agree with you! The one thing I did like the most about the Dracula X Chronicles was it included digital copies of Rondo of Blood and Symphony of the Night. I spent countless hours playing both! I do have Rondo of Blood on my R4 card, if only I could get Symphony of the Night on there too. Lol

Haven't played much of it but it seems to run well.
