Hey everyone. Sorry for mobbing your post like this RP. I wasn't sure if you would be willing to add the changes to weapons requested at CVRomhacking Discord. So I decided to make them in my SW Alt version. This new hack incorporates new animation fixes for Jonathan's Backflip and Charlotte's Backflip and Jumpkick done by (clare). It also adds the weapon damage values requested by (clare). And finally, imports some weapons from Dawn of Sorrow into POR, also made by (clare). All new content from (clare) was imported into the SW Alt Version by me. Here is the new hack: Castlevania - Portrait of Bloodlines SW plus ClareI see... What do you think? we should put this as Fourth Patch? Replace the third? or leave as it is? I don't mind doing a fourth patch or replacing the third one, after all, improvements are always welcome.

Cool. You can replace the SW Alt with it if you like. Just note in the details that the weapons will have some new changes, and not all of them will receive as big of a buff now.

LMAO even if the bug thing is there, the guy is out of his mind telling you what to delete from the game. Don't take that heresy seriously.

But he wasn't the only one complaining. There were like 5 people at once saying don't even bother playing this hack. That is why I said to ignore the comments. But the bugfixes should still be addressed if possible. At least I got something useful out of all of the harassment.

Only a foolish creature with sheep animal logic will listen to anyone saying "Don't play this game", a human being with a common sense supposed to be able to make own decisions without ever being influenced by others. If you want to downtalk something or someone, there is always a way to do it. Critique is something people need to learn how to give as well.

Forget about that hater dude, Haters will always be Haters. Well, I'm not saying I don't agree with some of the things he said, just the Sandy Grave midi and Dullahan boss song. other than that, if he bothers, that's his problem! we worked hard to make this hack, ok the Behemoth is not perfect, but it's amazing and the intention is what counts, there are problems with some color palettes, yes, but we did our best to try to fix it, and the midis are also great, i'm still proud of this hack with all my heart, We did an awesome job.

Continue to practice, experience will come eventually. Especially if you don't waste time trying to dictate others what to do, like that guy 🤣 Don't let weirdos around kill your motivation to make games the way you want them to be, most of those "experts" can do nothing, but talk anyway.

Ok i just read the txt and is the most harsh, vulgar and rude criticism of a game I've see this week. BUT I agree in most of the comments he made the hack have a serious lack of polish, and I know that any of us are getting paid for our work or any of our public pay for our hacks, but I think that if there's some notorious errors that we can't hide we should look for help in someone that can. Because our hacks are our image and the image of how we care about to make a good product. In my case I'm leaving my skin in my project and right now is older than this one and some other hacks that right now are in the polish phase like Dawn of dissonance or rondo of ruin even that OoE hack that features Alucard will be out and full before mine. And I know I can speed up the process like a lot, but I can't forgive a wrong palete or broken pixels and animations. So the game will take a while but will be my best effort, and maybe you guys don't want to take such a load of work but I think you must. Up to your deposition of course. I'm arms open if you need any help btw.

yeah... but I realized that most of his complaints were about the extra patches, so I'll just talk about the original patch, the complaints were: Behemoth, Midis and wrong Color Palettes. About the color palettes: I can't do anything unfortunately , we tried to fix all the wrong colors but whenever we did, it affected the hack stuff, it was either leaving the ugly palette in favor of having the new stuff or having to remove all the new stuff. About midis: Trying to import music for DS games is hell, I tried to do it myself, it was the best we could and honestly, I didn't think it was bad (only Sandy Grave's). On Behemoth: We tried to make it the best we could, but I'm starting to wonder if we should leave it the way it was before... what do you guys think? So basically we can't change anything that's been done, I can try to fix some palettes but don't expect too much success.

I think you should polish and look for help, or move to a new project doing you best and bury this . Bury not like fuck this thing... bury like ok this is over, the next one will be better. And make it better lol, I think sorrow know a couple of things about import export music, and I'm more than willing to help with your palete issues

So basically we can't change anything that's been done, I can try to fix some palettes but don't expect too much success. There may still be something I can do with the music. I have a couple of other methods I did not try. Those methods may be better compatible with other unused versions of the songs as well. I used Nitro Studio and Anvil Studio for editing and porting almost every song. Now that I have a better understanding of Ben!'s music replacer. I may be able to use better midis, and have them import at better quality as well. About Hell Hound, If we could just polish him a bit like locus said, I think we could make him look like he belongs there. As for the palettes, I don't know which ones specifically are messing up things in game, or I would take a look at them myself. locus, if you have any ideas on how to help with the palettes or raise quality of the Hellhound feel free to give detailed suggestions, or even help out yourself if you have the time. I should have some free time tomorrow morning, I will take a look. I am going to focus mainly on the original patch and my first one that changes a few palettes only. The 3rd and 4th patches were just for fun.
