(Oops, accidentally uploaded this in the wrong thread lol) Bet you guys didn't expect me to come back huh? Showboating aside, today I bring a mod for Order of Ecclesia that recolors Albus to something that more closely resembles his concept art. I've made three versions; One for Albus only, and another that works with both versions of DSythe32's "Shanoa Remade" mod, basically so you wouldn't have to switch mods whenever you want to switch modes. Installing the first version is the same as any other delta patch, but the other two versions require some extra steps; basically, you gotta patch it onto DSythe's mod using the same version of XDelta that DSythe used, I'll have the links for this stuff in the readme. Everything should be there including more detailed instructions for patching the other two versions, but if not, please let me know. Here's a link to DSythe32's mod if you wanna check that out: www.romhacking.net/hacks/4077/I've also managed to get it approved on Romhacking.net, here's the link to that (it basically just has two more pictures, but I said I'd show it when it got approved, so here you go): www.romhacking.net/hacks/6406/Credit goes to him or her for the Shanoa mod and also to I Am Me and LagoLunatic for inspiration and also helping and/or allowing this and other projects like this to happen... O̶n̶ ̶a̶ ̶s̶i̶d̶e̶ ̶n̶o̶t̶e̶,̶ ̶I̶ ̶w̶o̶u̶l̶d̶'̶v̶e̶ ̶u̶p̶l̶o̶a̶d̶e̶d̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶R̶o̶m̶h̶a̶c̶k̶i̶n̶g̶.̶n̶e̶t̶ ̶f̶i̶r̶s̶t̶,̶ ̶b̶u̶t̶ ̶I̶ ̶s̶e̶e̶m̶ ̶t̶o̶ ̶h̶a̶v̶e̶ ̶s̶o̶m̶e̶ ̶i̶s̶s̶u̶e̶s̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶t̶h̶e̶ ̶u̶p̶l̶o̶a̶d̶ ̶r̶i̶g̶h̶t̶ ̶n̶o̶w̶,̶ ̶w̶i̶l̶l̶ ̶u̶p̶d̶a̶t̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶t̶h̶r̶e̶a̶d̶ ̶w̶i̶t̶h̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶ ̶l̶i̶n̶k̶ ̶w̶h̶e̶n̶ ̶o̶r̶ ̶i̶f̶ ̶i̶t̶'̶s̶ ̶u̶p̶l̶o̶a̶d̶e̶d̶,̶ and might make my own Shanoa recolor palette if need be. I know I had those troubles back when I was originally trying to mod the game (and I've no idea how I've gotten it to work this time lol), but you were patient with me and I really appreciate that. I wanted to try this again sometime, but I just needed the spark of Albus' awful OoE color palette I guess. I think I'll try some other stuff now that I at least know how palettes work...

I think maybe it is time for the next step - try various skill edits for Albus. To make his gameplay better. Because honestly, by default his gameplay is bad & player version feels like a fake compare to how awesome boss Albus is.

Maybe I'll try that once I can properly recolor Julius and Soma's AoS and DoS palettes (Aka never lmao), but feel free to try that out instead of me. You and anyone else can also use this palette freely; It seems like I wouldn't have to give permission on using a palette swap, but alas, I've met people who are stingier with less content.

Makes me wonder about sudden interest in changing Soma/Julius colours/sprites, pretty popular subject these days. As for Ablus's skills hard mode NPC only stuff is easily usable with RAM editing, which I've showed before. You have no need for menus etc player stuff, because it's possible to sorta create skill set system like Soma have it in DoS or Shanoa can swap between sets. But you can make not just 2 or 3 sets, but as many as you want. PC only of course. Alternative is to use Albus in story mode, which should be doable with DSvania. Main question is Torpor Rain skill, which depends on anti staggering & room properties. Castlevania Fighter have it made & working though, including wall jumping.

The reason is because both characters' palettes were probably only meant for them and not to be recolored in any way, so the developers used hair colors for the clothes and skin colors for the clothes, in other words making recoloring the palette AND it looking good basically impossible; The fix would involve manually recoloring every Soma/Julius animation so the colors would be better assigned for recoloring, but I'm not surprised nobody has volunteered to do something so tedious. As for the Albus skill stuff, it's out of my realm of expertise, but it is interesting to look at an explanation of how they work.

AoS not unique about that palette thing, if I remember it right even DS games like Ecclesia have it. Small amount of colours for a palette isn't something you can just ignore. But you can always split each frame, change for example coat (if it also affecting hair), then re-attach Soma's head back. The way DSvania splits frames per list, and auto correcting palette may also be of help. Just gonna be time consuming, but definitely doable.

Yeah pretty much, it'll just come down to whoever wants to spend the time doing all that
