Im half way through DOS and i just wanna say, there are steep difficulty curves/spike. Its crazy 😂
Also there are crazy weapons in this game which makes it fun.
Also i seem to notice that the items that are scattered althrougg out the castle can be picked up again. Kinda like it "cooldown" then you can come back to pick it up again. So its better if you take note of the places where the food items are so you can revisit them again.

I attempted a rebalance on Dawn of Symphony, but I made it slighly easier, not harder. Same with Call of Chaos Easy Mode. I honestly believe it doesn't need one due to how it plays out in the actual story me and caminopreacher came up with which is Alucard initially being weak due to what happened at the start of the game and gradually regaining his strength. Yes the game starts out harder than normal but becomes MUCH easier as time goes on due to myself and others making it to where certain weapons and items got buffs later on that make things far easier. Besides even at the start the game at its core will always be easier than a classicvania since you still have the option of a grind if things are TO hard but even then as I said it does not stay that way as things progress. I would say that many bosses in CV games are predictable, add to that better controls. So I think giving bosses higher stats is good idea, it's not new attacks, but at least if they hit, they hit hard.Â

Same goes for seals in DoS, they just not removed. actually there is a hack that you can get for dos that does remove the seals so you don't have to draw them all the time to be the boss or to open up a boss's door so that you can go inside and fight that boss but as far as I know it's only for us rom not for Japan I know this because I got it and patched it to the US ROM of dos and played it. There's a patch that simplifies the seals for JP-DoS, it's in ROMhacking.net

It's too bad we can't open it in DSVania and export some of those new things we see in here for other mods.

You can open it in DSVEdit, it's based on the Japanese version of Dawn of Sorrow, you just have to rename it so it has regular ASCII characters so that something weird doesn't happen

I have it extracted in DSVEdit but can't do much else with it.

From what I've seen there's less things to edit since DSVEdit doesn't fully support JP-DoS, I only bothered to extract the ROM to see the map, change the door to Yoko's shop, and change the magic seals

The fish boss in this version for doa is incredibly annoying cause you the health bar and weaknesses are tweaked.
